About  This Site

This site is for the typical DIY'er to learn about how simple repairs can be made to fiberglass boats.

This site was first published in 2008, and has been updated since then.  We are committed to providing quality content about the subject matter covered.  Our experiences in the field of fiberglass boat repair while not being tied to any particular product allow us to provide honest, "no strings attached" advice and recommendations.

To keep this site active, we must pay a number of "hosting fees" and other expenses.  In order to cover these expenses, several "revenue generating" methods have been enacted to enable continued hosting.  Neither of these methods have any bearing on the content of our site.

We won't feature or suggest a product or service if it isn't excellent!

First, we allow Google to place content relevant advertisements on certain pages of this site.  These advertisements are typically for products or services related to the main topic of the page.  When a reader "clicks" onto one of these advertisements, their web browser is directed to the site that placed the advertisement.  A few cents are credited to our Google account.  We are not affiliated with the products and services featured in the Google advertisements, but are comfortable with Google's vetting process to ensure that no hostile sites are featured.

Second, we participate in the Amazon affiliate program. When reviewing or recommending a product that is available on Amazon.com, we place a link to that product on the Amazon website.  When a reader "clicks" on one of these links, a new browser window opens and takes the user to the Amazon product page.  If "cookies" are enabled on the reader's computer and the reader purchases a product from Amazon within 24 hours, a small commission is credited to our Amazon account.  This process is transparent to the reader and DOES NOT cause the product cost to increase at all!

Amazon wants us to include the following text:

www.diy-fiberglass-boat-repair.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com.

Both of these programs are safe for the reader and allow us to keep this site operational.

If you should have any questions or concerns about this, PLEASE let us know by using our "Contact Us" link on the Left Sidebar.

Also, if you have a "less than great" experience with any of the vendors or products recommended or advertised on this site, DEFINITELY let us know!

Our relationship with you, the reader, is the most important aspect of this site.  We remain committed to providing you with quality content and product recommendations without regard for how the revenue generating programs are affected.

Thank you for reading.
